Product Overview
DiffuCarb™ E201c and DiffuCarb™ E221c are platinum-based gas diffusion electrodes for PEMFC research testing, membrane electrode assembly preparation, laboratory single-cell testing, and small-stack validation.
E201c uses a Pt/C catalyst system in which platinum nanoparticles are dispersed on a high-surface-area carbon support, offering good catalyst dispersion, electrical conductivity, and platinum utilization. E221c uses a Pt Black catalyst system, relying on the nanoscale structure of platinum black to provide abundant active sites for compact electrode structures or high-activity applications.
DiffuCarb® E201c
Pt/C catalyst electrode. Suitable for PEMFC systems requiring a balanced combination of performance, durability, platinum utilization, and cost control.
DiffuCarb® E221c
Pt Black catalyst electrode. Suitable for fuel cell applications requiring abundant active sites, higher platinum loading, or compact catalyst-layer structures.

Common Features
Carbon Paper Substrate
Both electrodes use hydrophobic SGL 22BB carbon paper with an MPL microporous layer. The typical thickness is about 230 μm, providing good electrical conductivity, gas transport capability, and electrode support.
Nafion® Binder System
Nafion® dispersion is used as the ion-conductive polymer system, helping enhance ion transport in the catalyst layer and improve adhesion at the membrane electrode interface.
Designed for PEMFC Testing
Suitable for PEMFC single-cell testing, membrane electrode assembly preparation, small-stack screening, and research-grade fuel cell performance evaluation.
