PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Stable Platinum Electrodes for Demanding Systems

Youveim® platinum mesh is precision woven from high-purity platinum wire. It combines excellent chemical stability, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, and electrochemical catalytic activity, making it a dependable electrode material for advanced research and industrial electrochemical systems.

Platinum remains stable in many strongly acidic, alkaline, and elevated-temperature environments. Its broad electrochemical operating window and consistent conductivity make woven platinum mesh suitable for water electrolysis, fuel cells, sensors, electrodeposition, and laboratory electrode assemblies.

Two Surface Options
Choose the standard metallic surface for general corrosion-resistant electrode applications or the hydrophilic activated surface when enhanced electrolyte wetting and improved interfacial contact are required.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the main difference between standard and hydrophilic platinum mesh?

Both products use the same high-purity platinum substrate. The hydrophilic version receives surface-interface activation to improve electrolyte wetting and interfacial contact.

How should I choose between 52 mesh and 100 mesh?

Selection depends on the required open area, mechanical structure, electrolyte flow, catalyst loading, and experimental fixture. Confirm the complete wire diameter and thickness specification before ordering.

Can the mesh be cut or customized?

Custom dimensions and shapes can be supported. Confirm dimensions, edge treatment, tolerances, surface option, and required quantity before fabrication.

How should platinum mesh be cleaned?

Choose a cleaning method compatible with the tested material and surface condition. Avoid hard scraping, contamination, uncontrolled thermal treatment, or chemicals that may affect the experiment or activated surface.
