Selection Guide

Small discs such as Φ21–47 mm are suitable for compact sampling devices. Φ70–90 mm filters are recommended for medium-flow particulate sampling, while Φ105 mm and larger formats are suitable for high-flow and industrial exhaust sampling.

Large sheets are suitable for flat-sheet filtration, batch testing, and custom cutting. Prewashed and heat-treated versions are recommended when low blank values and reduced background interference are required.

Precautions

Handle filters with clean forceps and avoid direct contact. For gravimetric analysis, condition the filters under controlled temperature and humidity before and after sampling. Ensure proper sealing during installation and cool heat-treated filters in a desiccator before weighing.

Summary

Whatman 934-AH is a reliable high-temperature glass microfiber filter for dust, aerosol, stack gas, and airborne particulate sampling. Its 1.5 μm nominal retention rating, stable weighing performance, and broad size range make it suitable for both laboratory and industrial gravimetric analysis.
