PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Overview

Bruker XRD sample holders accommodate powders, granules and small quantities of solid samples while helping maintain consistent sample position, surface height and loading conditions during diffraction measurements. Different designs support routine phase analysis, low-background measurements, sealed testing and automated sample handling.

Available specifications cover common recess diameters from Φ5 to Φ25 mm, with different recess depths, glass thicknesses, overall dimensions and silicon wafer configurations. Select the holder according to your instrument and sample requirements.

Key Selection Checks
Before ordering, confirm the instrument model, holder dimensions, recess diameter and depth, sealing requirements, autosampler compatibility, and whether a low-background silicon wafer is required, including its specified angular range.
MATERIAL & STRUCTURE

Materials & Construction

01 Glass Support Structure A flat surface facilitates inspection of sample loading and cleaning, making it suitable for routine powder diffraction measurements.
02 Sealing Components Fully sealed and threaded-recess designs help reduce sample exposure to the surrounding environment during measurements requiring enclosed loading.
03 Low-Background Silicon Wafers Full-angle or specified-angle-range wafer options help reduce substrate background when measuring weak diffraction peaks or small sample quantities.
STRUCTURE OPTIONS

Main Holder Types

Store by Type After cleaning and drying, organize holders by instrument model, recess diameter and design. Protect them from impacts.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are D8, D6 and D2 holders directly interchangeable?

Interchangeability should not be assumed. Check the instrument's sample position, holder dimensions, locating structure and automated sample handling configuration.

When should I choose a low-background silicon wafer?

Consider a low-background silicon wafer when the sample quantity is limited, diffraction peaks are weak, or background from a conventional substrate significantly affects the measurement.

How do I choose between full-angle and 2°–120° silicon wafers?

Choose according to the instrument's scan range and measurement method. A specified-angle-range wafer may suit a fixed scan range. If unsure, confirm the measurement program before ordering.

Is a deeper recess always better?

No. Select recess depth according to sample quantity, absorption characteristics and loading method. Excessive depth may consume more sample and make surface leveling more difficult.
