PANALYTICAL XRD SAMPLE HOLDERS

PANalytical XRD Sample Holders

Sample mounting and positioning solutions for PANalytical X-ray diffractometers. Sealed and standard square-recess designs cover common sample loading areas from 5 × 5 mm to 20 × 20 mm.

For PANalytical XRD Sealed Square Recess Standard Square Recess 0.5 mm Recess Depth Consistent Sample Loading
PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Overview

PANalytical XRD sample holders support loading, surface leveling and repeatable positioning of powders, granules and small quantities of solid samples. Defined square recesses help control the loading area and sample thickness while maintaining a stable measurement surface.

Sealed square-recess holders measure 45 × 35 × 2 mm overall, while standard square-recess holders measure 35 × 45 × 2 mm. Confirm the orientation against the instrument's sample position and locating arrangement.

Key Selection Checks
Before ordering, confirm the instrument model, holder orientation, square recess length and width, recess depth and sealing requirements. The mounting orientation of 45 × 35 mm and 35 × 45 mm holders may affect compatibility.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are 45 × 35 mm and 35 × 45 mm holders directly interchangeable?

Do not judge compatibility from the numerical dimensions alone. Check the sample position's mounting orientation, locating edges and actual placement arrangement.

When should I choose a sealed square recess?

Consider a sealed design for samples that readily absorb moisture, oxidize or disperse, or when reduced exposure to the external environment is required.

How should I choose the square recess size?

Select according to sample quantity, the X-ray illuminated area and your established measurement method. Ensure the sample covers the effective measurement area.

Is a 0.5 mm recess depth suitable for every sample?

Not necessarily. Suitability depends on absorption characteristics, particle condition, sample quantity and measurement requirements.
