PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Overview

Sealed micro quartz cuvettes are intended for measurements involving limited sample quantities, high absorbance, or a need to reduce evaporation and external contamination. Short-path designs reduce the distance light travels through the sample, supporting measurements of concentrated solutions or limited sample volumes.

The range includes UV and IR types with open-top, stopper and screw-top designs. A positioning clip for short-path cuvettes is also available to assist stable placement in the instrument's sample compartment.

Before Ordering
Confirm the instrument beam height, sample compartment dimensions, measurement wavelength range, required optical path length, closure type, and sample compatibility with quartz, stoppers and sealing components. Confirm machining requirements before ordering custom specifications.
STRUCTURE TYPES

Closure Types

Open-Top Design A simple design for convenient filling, cleaning and rapid measurements during routine laboratory work.
Stopper Design A matching stopper closes the cuvette to help reduce evaporation, splashing and external contamination.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose a 0.5 mm, 1 mm or longer optical path?

Consider a shorter path for concentrated or strongly absorbing samples and a longer path for weak absorption. Validate the choice using the Beer–Lambert law, sample absorbance and the instrument's measurement range.

What is the difference between stopper and screw-top designs?

Stopper designs allow quick opening and closing. Screw-top designs generally provide a more stable mechanical closure. Actual sealing performance also depends on the sealing components, assembly and sample properties.

Why do some specifications require a custom order?

Specific wavelength ranges, path lengths or closure designs may require separate machining and assembly. Confirm dimensions, quantity, lead time and the experimental medium before ordering.

What does the short-path cuvette positioning clip do?

It assists positioning of small or short-path cuvettes inside the sample compartment, improving placement stability and consistency between repeated measurements.
