PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Overview

Cylindrical quartz reflectance cuvettes hold samples for reflectance or diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The wide, open loading mouth facilitates filling with powders, granules, slurries or liquids. Select the outside diameter and depth according to the instrument's optical arrangement.

The fusion-fabricated quartz range covers outside diameters from approximately Φ18 to Φ64 mm and depths from 10 to 40 mm, accommodating small, routine and larger sample quantities.

Before Ordering
Confirm sample compartment diameter and height, measurement spot, effective loading depth, sample quantity and sample compatibility with quartz. Check dimensions expressed as outside diameter × height against the complete instrument space.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I choose the outside diameter and depth?

First match the outside diameter to the sample compartment or reflectance accessory. Select the depth according to sample quantity, required optical thickness and measurement spot position.

What does 12 mm mean in “Outside Diameter Φ18 × 12 mm”?

The source lists it under overall dimensions, where it generally denotes the overall height paired with the outside diameter. Confirm it together with the listed effective depth and instrument space before ordering.

Should powder samples be compacted?

Use a consistent preparation procedure according to the measurement method. Whether loosely loaded or gently compacted, maintain consistent sample quantity, surface height and flatness between measurements.

Can I use ultrasonic cleaning?

High-power ultrasonic cleaning is not recommended because it may damage the fusion-fabricated quartz structure. Prefer soaking in a compatible solvent and gentle rinsing.
