SEALED DUAL-CHAMBER ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL

H-type Sealed Electrolytic Cell (Two Electrodes)

Designed for electrochemical experiments in which the anolyte and catholyte must remain separated. The frosted-joint dual-chamber structure supports a two-electrode configuration, while the central connection accepts a compatible membrane, such as Nafion, to reduce direct mixing and cross-interference.

Frosted Joint Sealing Two-electrode System Dual Chambers Replaceable Membrane 5–50 mL
PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Overview

Designed for controlled solution separation, ion transport and compartmentalized electrode reactions.

The cell consists of two independent electrolyte chambers connected through a central membrane interface. A compatible ion-exchange membrane or separator can be installed between the chambers to maintain ionic conduction while limiting convective mixing. Frosted ports accommodate the working and counter electrodes used in common two-electrode experiments. Electrode placement can be adjusted to suit the experimental design.

Before ordering: Select the capacity according to the required volume per chamber and confirm the electrode diameter, port arrangement, membrane type, sealing requirements and chemical compatibility. Ion-exchange membranes and electrodes are sold separately.

CARE & PRECAUTIONS

Care and Precautions

Avoid incompatible cleaners, mechanical impact, thermal shock and forced assembly.

Before the Experiment

  • Verify chemical compatibility among the electrolyte, cell body, seals, membrane and electrodes.
  • Inspect all frosted joints, the membrane interface and sealing surfaces.
  • Keep the membrane flat and free from folds, particles and misalignment.
  • Confirm the diameter and insertion depth of both electrodes before installation.

After the Experiment

  • Drain both chambers promptly to prevent deposits or crystallization.
  • Use a compatible solvent selected for the remaining chemicals.
  • Avoid abrasive tools, sudden temperature changes and mechanical impact.
  • Dry all parts completely and store them clean and protected from dust.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

All answers are expanded for quick specification and operating checks.

Are the membrane and electrodes included?

No. The membrane, working electrode and counter electrode must be selected and purchased separately.

How should I select the capacity?

Consider the required volume per chamber, electrode immersion depth, reaction duration and available sample volume while allowing sufficient free space.

Can a Nafion membrane be used?

Yes, provided its dimensions and chemical compatibility match the experiment. Prepare it according to the membrane supplier's instructions.

Why should the liquid levels be similar?

A large level difference can create pressure across the membrane and cause permeation, deformation or uneven sealing stress.

What should I check if leakage occurs?

Stop the experiment and inspect membrane alignment, surface contamination, connection uniformity and the condition of the sealing components.

Can the electrode ports be customized?

If the standard arrangement is unsuitable, provide the electrode diameters, insertion depths, port quantities and positions before ordering.
